The new educational series “Musical Culture” has been created for everyone who wishes to develop their fundamental musical knowledge and practical skills.

The sessions will take place every Sunday at 5:30 PM and will last 45 minutes.

The format is group-based, offering a systematic and accessible approach to musical literacy, suitable both for complete beginners and for participants with minimal previous experience. The program includes the fundamentals of note reading, basic solfège, and practical exercises for developing the ear, rhythm, and musical memory. The goal is to help participants gain confidence in reading and understanding musical notation while broadening their musical culture.

The sessions will be led by pianist and artistic director of Sofia Art Institute, Veneta Neynska, who will introduce participants to the foundations of music theory and practice through a clear, structured, and inspiring approach.

Veneta Neynska is a pianist with an international career whose performances are distinguished by their depth and strong emotional expression. She graduated from the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov” in Sofia before receiving a full scholarship to the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where she studied with the world-renowned pedagogue John Perry. She completed her Master’s degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London under the guidance of Joan Havill.

She is the recipient of numerous awards, including First Prize at the Beethoven Hradec Competition in the Czech Republic, Third Prize at the Alexander Tansman Competition in Poland, as well as distinctions from competitions in Cyprus and the United Kingdom.

As a soloist, she has given recitals throughout Europe and the United States, performed with leading orchestras, and appeared at prestigious festivals such as Apollonia Arts Festival and Piano Extravaganza.

Veneta is the founder of Sofia Art Institute, where she combines her artistic career with innovative educational and cultural projects.
