FLUTE PROGRAMME FOR YOUNG ARTISTS
The Young Artists Academy begins its first season with specialised individual flute tuition.
Throughout the academic year, students will attend Saturday group sessions. These will include music theory, collaborative project activities, instrumental training, chamber music, and concerts. The programme is based on the most up-to-date teaching methods used by leading secondary schools and higher education institutions for music in Western Europe and the United States.
Each student may supplement these activities with a varying number of individual flute lessons, determined following a joint meeting between the teacher, the student, and their parents. The programme’s lead teacher is Sandrine François, one of the leading artists on the international classical music scene and Professor of Flute at the Strasbourg Conservatory. She will work with the students in sessions several times a year.
During the rest of the year, individual music sessions will be led by Nikolay Stoykov – a former student of Sandrine François and Patrick Gallois at the Strasbourg Conservatory, who also specialised in harpsichord in France and is one of today’s ambassadors of Baroque music. He is currently a full-time flautist with the Sofia Wind Orchestra. As part of the programme, students will also participate several times a year in masterclasses with specially invited international and Bulgarian teachers.
Individual lessons are scheduled outside the Saturday group sessions, at times convenient for both the student and the teacher.
The programme is designed for students aged 12 to 19 who attend music schools, as well as young musicians seeking a high level of performance and future professional development on stage. The programme begins in October 2026 and ends in June 2027.
The individual packages include between 10 and 30 individual instrumental lessons in addition to the Core Programme of group sessions. The fees cover tuition for the entire academic year. They may be paid in full at the beginning of the programme or in three instalments during the academic year.
● Core Programme: €600 / €660 (when paid in three instalments)
● Young Artists Academy + 10: €500 / €550 (when paid in three instalments)
