An interactive concert for solo piano and multimedia with Veneta Neynska

125 years after the birth of Dimitar Nenov, his music continues to sound remarkably contemporary – expansive in scale, almost visual, architecturally structured, and deeply personal.

“Nenov 125” is an interactive concert for solo piano and multimedia, in which the music of one of the most significant Bulgarian composers of the 20th century meets contemporary visual media. Through Dimitar Nenov’s piano works, the concert creates an audiovisual space where sound, image, and the composer’s architectural thinking intertwine.

Pianist Veneta Neynska has been dedicated for years to promoting and rediscovering the music of Dimitar Nenov. Her in-depth knowledge of one of the great visionaries of Bulgarian culture has been further enriched through the creation of the music documentary Dimitar Nenov and the Dimensions of Elegance, made in collaboration with director Jassen Haralampiev.

The concert also presents her new album, The Architect’s View, dedicated to Nenov’s piano works and released by the British label CRD Records. The album places the composer’s music in a new context, revealing his distinctive sensitivity to structure, space, colour, and movement.

“Nenov 125” is a meeting point between music, image, and history. It invites audiences to hear Nenov in a new way and to discover in his work ideas that sound remarkably relevant today.
