The new Pillow Concerts season starts with the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, considered by many to be the greatest musical genius of all time.

The first concert of the new season brings together two of the composer’s most famous masterpieces – Piano Concerto No. 23 and Eine kleine Nachtmusik. Written just one year apart, they reveal two different sides of the mature Mozart: the virtuoso pianist and the master of chamber music.

Piano Concerto No. 23, completed in 1786, contains one of Mozart’s most beautiful slow movements – the Adagio in F-sharp minor, unusually dramatic and intimate for an otherwise radiant concerto. Eine kleine Nachtmusik, written the following year, is actually a serenade for strings and one of the most recognizable and beloved works among music lovers of all ages.

On stage will be pianist Veneta Neynska, violinists Milen Maksimov and Kristina Hinova, violist Stefania Yankova, and cellist Viktor Traykov.
